Luvina

“Luvina”, like the village imagined by Juan Rulfo : a barren land bearing the marks of a harsh life, where hope seems extinguished, and where souls persist in their struggle against the world’s indifference. And in this desolation, a mother nourishes her child. Despite the absence of everything, she gives what is most precious : love and strength for an uncertain tomorrow, in a world that seems to have forgotten them.

This piece is part of the Souveraines Collection, an invitation to reflect on the power, resilience, and universal beauty of women.

Created with a palette knife in oil, this artwork reveals expressive colors and textures, drawing inspiration from Mexican muralism, as well as the photographs and stories of Juan Rulfo.
